| New Years Eve 2007 |
We went up to the mountains for a few days. Rachel was excited because we let her have 2 friends come up and spend New Year's eve with us. It was her first sleepover in almost 3 years. We had a blast snowshoeing, playing games and just hanging out. But the most fun thing was when Chris decided to fly down the mountain and drove our car off the road. It took hours to dig out only to have him drive it off the road again on the next turn! We had to call a tow truck to get us out. The kids thought that was such an adventure. Apparently even after living here 3 years we are not the best drivers in the snow.

It will be 3 years tomorrow exactly. That is longer than we lived in any house in Tierrasanta.
Oh my. Does your mother know? She may not ever let you drive again. . .speaking of which, isn't it nice to be the Dad now. Sorry about the falling off the mountain thing. I'm glad you guys are okay.
I don't think I have asked my Mom permission to drive for about 18 years now. Now that she lives in Colorado, she simply doesn't leave the house when there is snow on the ground. She doesn't really like driving in the snow. In fact, they were supposed to join us up at the cabin but never made it up because they didn't want to drive in the snow....
Yes, being the Dad is definitely a lot of fun. Much better than the child.
